SPEFOL special moulding sands

Characteristics: Ready-to-used moulding sand - very fine-grained - for making sharp contoured and very smooth surfaces in almost all metals. Immediate casting after moulding without drying and without coating. Also very suitable for making synthetic resin and gypsum samples (request our technical leaflet).

Use: Standard sand: SPEFOL can be cast in several times until its compressive strength has fallen below an appropriate level. Only then is SPEFOL regenerated.

Facing sand: SPEFOL is strengthened by normal filler sand. The moisture of the filler sand has no harmful effect.

Regeneration: After casting it is sufficient to simply loosen the sand to make it ready for moulding again. In case of lost plasticity, simply add 1/10 % of the special binder oil (100 g oil to 100 kg SPEFOL).

In case of insufficient compressive strength, in general it is sufficient to add 1/10 % of the special paste (100 g paste to 100 kg SPEFOL). The regeneration should take place in the pan mill mixer or in the core sand mixer. Spinning the sand is advantageous.

Application: Stamp the sand very hard (~mould hardness 85 according to +GF+). Always use parting powder on joint faces. Pour the metal into the mould slowly. Vent. Leave the casting in the mould for as long as possible. The surface will be smoother and the sand will stay usable for longer.

Packaging: 25 kg sacks, loose in 850 kg cages.

Remarks: Do not add water, do not use black washes and coatings.

SPEFOL NW emulsion-bound special moulding sand

Characteristics: SPEFOL NW is an emulsion-bound, ready-to-use moulding sand whose fine grain size and content of lustrous carbon formers enables sharp contoured and very smooth surfaces to be achieved.

Use:
Only oil fractions with no harmful effects get into the recirculating system sand.

SPEMIX special moulding sand

Characteristics: SPEMIX is a synthetic, ready-to-use moulding sand for light metal, heavy metal, GJL, GJS and G-GX, whose very fine grain size and content of lustrous carbon formers enables sharp contoured and very smooth surfaces to be achieved. SPEMIX is absolutely oil-free and is therefore extremely suitable as facing sand in the natural moulding sand process.

SPEMIX is environmentally friendly.

Use:
  •     as standard sand,
  •     as facing sand in the green sand process,
Application: Stamp the sand very hard (~mould hardness 85 according to +GF+). Always use parting powder on joint faces. Pour the metal into the mould slowly. Vent. Leave the casting in the mould for as long as possible. The surface will be smoother and the sand will stay usable for longer.

Packaging: 25 kg sacks, loose in 850 kg cages.

SPEFORM SF 1 natural moulding sand

Characteristics: SPEFORM SF 1 is a natural moulding sand that can be used for industrial and art casting and in the manual and machine-moulding shop. A very smooth surface is achieved by using SPEMIX special moulding sand as facing sand.

Packaging: Loose by truck.
